What is it? - A tool to help students get worked solutions to simple circuit problems, including finding unknown resistances, cell emfs, ammeter and voltmeter readings from other information in the circuit.

What circuits can it solve? - Most circuits at the UK GCSE level can be solved, including those using complex combinations of series and parallel resistors. It may not be able to necessarily give the shortest solution, solve very complex circuits or handle "degenerate" circuits (short circuits, negative resistances, impossible currents e.t.c.) but the framework is definitely there to improve on this in the near future!

How do I use it? - Go to the tool below. There is a demo circuit already loaded: just press the big "Solve" button at the top to get the computer to solve as much as it can. This will bring up a list of worked steps on the right hand side. Click on any step to view it and the components in it. If you want, you can use the gray buttons to switch to other demos.
